Our team is growing and currently looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.

JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will work closely with the senior management team and the accounting team to bridge the gap from historical results to predicted performance, increase financial transparency and understanding throughout the Company, and assist with the Company’s medium and long-term financial planning.  

REPORTING REALTIONSHIP: The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager reports directly to the President.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Working closely with the leadership team to formulate the business’s medium to long term financial and strategic plan;
  • Working with business unit/vertical heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts;
  • Producing models to project long term growth and determining the impacting business factors;
  • Delivering of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team;
  • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance;
  • Utilizing BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance;
  • Communicating to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results;
  • Providing detailed analysis and commentary on cost center results;
  • Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives;
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions;
  • Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts;
  • Evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets;
  • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations; and,
  • Providing insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts and profitability; and,
  • Performing all other duties, as assigned by management.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant analytical experience;
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting tools;
  • High level of commercial acumen; and,

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong quantitative analysis capabilities;
  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages;
  • Able to solve complex problems utilizing critical thinking skills; and,
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships.
