We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and tenacious sale representative to manage existing customer accounts and pursue new customer relationships. Superb communication skills are a must. The successful candidate must be driven to excel and must be unswervingly dedicated to achieving results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop rapport with a wide range of personalities across a broad spectrum of demographics and experience
- Manage existing customer relationships with the various retailers, wholesalers, and brokers that form our current customer base
- Pursue new customer relationships; cold calling will be involved
- Serve as an expert resource on market trends, fruit quality, and industrywide news & developments
- Travel to attend trade shows and customer meetings
- Exhibit dogged determination, resilient optimism, and an irrepressible can-do spirit
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Fresh berry or fruit sales experience desired but not required
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to break through barriers and forge strong interpersonal connections
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or comparable professional experience
- Willingness and ability to work effectively both in an independent remote setting as well as within a more traditional office setting is required
