Job Description:

We have a number of openings currently for Loaders to join our team.

Loader operates rolling equipment to accurately and efficiently select, build and load customer orders or warehouse transfers in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. Offloading and put away of inbound product is also performed to assist with efficient receiving of new product.  All company policies and procedures must be followed during work activities.  

Work efficiency, by work type, is measured and minimum expectations must be met/are performed on the radio frequency (RF) gun to track performance.  

Compensation/Salary: 
$15.50/hr
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Operates RF gun to efficiently and accurately pull product to ensure inventory is managed accurately.
  • Follow best practices in the building of orders with heaviest and wet items on bottom, for example.  See Best Order Building Practices.
  • Maintain safety as the priority at all times.  Use horn, look towards direction of travel, do not drive forks first, do not wear headphones or be distracted while operating machinery. 
  • Complete shift start checklists and special assignments in a timely manner.
  • Communicate efficiently with Supervisor/ Working Foreman identifying issues of safety, efficiency interruptions or other issues via iPad reports, email, or text.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of work area and equipment including trash disposal of pallet materials, strapping, etc. during entire shift.
  • Compliance with all companywide, local, state, and federal rules and regulations, policies and procedures, Local 630 Union regulations and Code of Conduct standards.
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 8th grade education; or up to one-year related experience or training.
  • Ability to read in English, to identify all language describing the product listed on the RF device for orders, and accurate number recognition. Ability to print and speak in English clearly. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to 1000’s.  
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple three or four step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables. 
  • Electric pallet jack certified or knowledge of operation (training provided).
  • Forklift certified or knowledge of operation (training provided).
  • Basic knowledge of computer use.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated initiative, good judgement, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all.
  • Maintain a willingness to improve personal and company performance.
