Grower Cost Accountant

Job Description: 
In this role you will work with the CFO and Controller to support the accounting functions.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Review/update daily receiving entries for the processing plants and 3rd party coolers.
  • Create 3rd party grower payables and verify payments are being made within 14 days.
  • Create intercompany grower payables and cash receipts.
  • Balance daily juice receipts with WCBF and 3rd party cooler reports.
  • Maintains historical records by scanning all juice ticket backup into the accounting system and company drives.
  • Create materials journal entries on all repacks.
  • Review/update costs on all sales invoices before posting daily sales journal.
  • Manage new grower setup.
  • Issue materials inventory POs and verify receipt of product.
  • Complete weekly and monthly PSAB and CSC reports.
  • Review/update weekly inventory reports.
  • Prepare daily operational production reports.
  • Complete month-end inventory checklist items.
  • Various account analysis as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements: 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technology savvy with fluency in MS Office and accounting related software.
  • Paperless environment experience preferred.
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and responsibility.
  • Agribusiness experience helpful, but not required.
Education: 
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a staff accountant.
Skills: 
Reasoning Ability                   
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills                   
  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and PDF Editing Software.         

Language Skills         

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
