Job Description:
Western Precooling is the leading full-service provider of precooling equipment, facilities and services. We are recruiting for a Food Safety Technician support to our food safety initiatives in our Oxnard operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may perform any or all functions detailed below, based on business needs:

Conducts Environmental & water sampling of facilities/ forklifts/ scrubbers for 9 facilities once a month. In charge of any re-testing needed.

Conducts quarterly internal audits for 7 WPS facilities and records data in the WBBM, our training database.

Communicates frequently with the Sanitation Crew in implementing food safety policies, walking facilities daily. Filling in when a crew member is on vacation with their duties.

Inventories for sanitation chemicals, environmental supplies, COVID supplies, and weekly titration of sanitation chemicals at Oxnard facilities.

Makes security ID badges for all employees at 7 facilities.

Calibrates probes / pH meters / thermometers and verifies documentation.

Verifies Operator Logs and sanitation logs weekly.

Reviews paperwork at facilities for FSMA / GFSI processes and procedures.

Inspects fire extinguishers monthly and eye wash stations weekly, replaces tags as needed.

Verifies ATP testing of tubes once a week. Calibration of ATP monthly.

Performs Corrective Actions / Documents tasks as needed or directed.

Verifies Organic program within each facility

Reviews forklift logs to verify completion
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
-
Excellent communication, computer knowledge of word and excel, read and write English and Spanish. Ability to translate SOP’s, SSOP’s, policy and procedures.

The ability to work independently and efficiently

Ability to train on current Safety SOP’s and procedures.

PCQI and HACCP Certified
-
Ability to train on current Food Safety SOP’s.

Excellent people skills and ability to work as a team when needed

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask when needed
