Job Description: 

Vee's Marketing is a well-recognized entity in onions.  We are looking to expand on our strengths in onions by adding another onion broker to the team to break into regions that we are not currently present.  We provide the support, a well-respected brand, Famous Software, top-notch accounting, a large vendor base, and buying power as a credit to our fast vendor pay and Trading Member status.  

The successful sales candidate will have produce experience, specifically in sales, a strong work ethic and a motivation to contribute to a growing business. They will be detail-oriented and able to analyze changing market factors and have a comprehensive understanding of the fresh produce supply-chain.  We find that one of the most challenging parts of being a produce broker is being able to work on their own outreach and business development to create their own book of business.   

Vee’s Marketing offers a very competitive salary and commission package.  There is no cap or limit on commission.

Requirements: 
  • Previous experience and knowledge of the produce industry is required.
  • Must be accountable for every decision within their role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to quickly process information and make decisions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Quick learner, a logical thinker and team oriented.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Bring and grow your own customer base.
  • Cold calling and securing new vendor applications.
  • Booking orders with customers/shippers.
  • Customer service.
  • Book and dispatch trucks for delivered sales.
  • Provide input as to relevant market information, strategies, visions and goals.
  • Social media content relevant to produce and marketing.
Education: 

Four year degree preferred, but not required.

Qualifications: 

Must have experience in produce sales.
