We now have an opening for a Shipping and Inventory Manager to join our team in Mount Vernon, WA.                                                
                                                                                                                                               
This is a full-time position, Monday through Saturday during the packing season.  (Saturday is a shorter day for which occasional back-up coverage may be arranged.)  Weekly schedule in summer months is more flexible.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Oversees shipping and inventory functions of the packing house
  • Tracks seed lots
  • Remains current on procedures and trends related to areas of responsibility
  • Maintains electronic and physical records related to produce inventory and shipping 
  • Prepares routine reports to keep sales staff, operations manager and owners aware of inventory status
  • Communicates with sales associates and operations manager to assure inventory is rotated in a timely manner
  • Keeps all information related to produce traceability, by maintaining records of packed inventory and storage data
  • Coordinates warehousing, packing and loading of produce orders
  • Checks-in drivers picking up product, inputs load details and processes all paperwork related to orders
  • Monitors and orders shipping supplies
  • Serves as primary contact with truck drivers delivering goods and picking up product
  • Tracks seed lots, from receipt to planting
  • Staffs front desk, answering telephones and greeting visitors
  • Performs other duties and projects, as assigned
Qualifications: 
  • Three year’s related experience
  • Intermediate- to advanced-level skill using Microsoft Office programs (advanced Excel)
  • Willingness and ability to use other computer programs
  • Good working knowledge of mathematical relations and ability to apply these principles
  • Ability to modify priorities and adjust to changing demands throughout the day
  • Ability to provide courteous service to both internal and external customers
  • Ability to analyze data and make conclusions from it

A combination of experience and education may be substituted for certain qualifications.
