Job Description:
Western Precooling is the leading full service provider of precooling equipment, facilities and services. We are recruiting for a dynamic and energetic Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team. The Accounting Manager prepares monthly financial statements for a portion of 50 related entities. Responsibilities includes working with the Office Manager to meet monthly deadlines for closings; with accounting staff to monitor and validate A/R, A/P and P/R entries for each company; with the Controller to assure accuracy of accounting, as well as coordinate preparation of annual tax returns. May handle special accounting projects, pro-formas and assist with budgeting.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, assure timely distribution, and report pertinent information or concerns to Office Manager and Controller
- Prepare and enter monthly journal entries as required
- Code all account payables with proper G/L codes and proper posting dates
- Monitor timely and accurate billing for equipment and services
- Reconcile bank statements monthly and on a timely basis
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts
- Review all income statement accounts for accruals and reclassifications. Ensures accurate posting of expenses
- Responsible for workers’ compensation accruals
- Manage fixed assets and keep depreciation schedules updated monthly
- Prepare and assure accuracy of annual property tax returns on a timely basis
- Perform review for fiscal year-end financial statements. Work closely with Controller in preparation of final year-end financial statement and assure timely coordination with CPA in annual tax return preparation
- Book payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll related tax filings
- Preparation of pro-forma's, budgets, financial projections, and special financial analysis as required
- Assist the Office Manager and Controller with any other responsibilities as required
Education:
- BS degree in accounting or related field. Equivalent accounting experience will be considered
- Experience with preparing financial statements, adhoc reports, sales tax returns, year-end closing tax preparation, fixed assets and inventory
- Experience preparing for and participating in external audits
- Minimum two years in an accounting environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Accounting process development skills
- Proficient in use of PC and Excel
- Knowledge of corporate, partnership, and LLC accounting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 as well as Great Plains accounting software helpful but not required
