Job Description:
Freshline Produce LLC., a premium fresh fruit and vegetable processor based in Mahwah, NJ, is seeking a talented Production Manager to join its fast growing organization. As Production Manager, he/she will be required to ensure that all standards and targets are met and all lines are running efficiently. The Production Manager will plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

- Strong leadership skills
- Strong supervisory, communication, training and interpersonal skills
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
- Working knowledge of GMP and food safety regulations
- Effective organizational skill; Able to manage priorities and complexities
- Knowledge of processing machines
- Proven success in improving work processes and leading change in a complex, fast environment
- Intermediate computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Experience in the food industry and produce is a plus
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, organize, and manage the production department regarding daily hours, schedules, productivity, quality and safety
- Implement appropriate actions to ensure production staff process quality product to all customers in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
- Coordinate production activities with production department
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and international regulatory requirements, including OSHA, FDA, USDA and applicable manufacturing and food handling regulations.
- Ensure on-time and accurate production in the preparation of product and equipment
- Work with Quality Assurance to resolve issues.
- Train and help improve technical skills of operators, by ensuring proper training is provided on operating and safety procedures, equipment, and controls
- Ensure inventory accuracy, including proper labeling of all inventory
- Maintain accurate reporting needed to monitor production rates, yields and quality cost variances
- Monitor and enforce work rules, regarding attendance and all policies and procedures
- Monitor performance of operators and institute corrective action when necessary
- Maintain proactive communication with Senior Management
