JOB FILLED - Harvest Commodity Supervisor - Lettuce

Job Description: 

Under the “Bonipak” label, Betteravia Farms grows, harvests, cools, processes and ships millions of cartons of fresh vegetables to retailers, wholesalers and food service customers all over the world. We are now accepting resumes for the position of Harvest Commodity Supervisor, Lettuce.

Working out of both Santa Maria, CA and Yuma, AZ, the harvest Commodity Supervisor take full responsibility for harvesting of our lettuce crops. 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in this area of work and/or relative education
  • Full responsibility of commodity inventory and quality
  • Develop and maintain good working relationship with Owners and Management
  • Possess and demonstrate a sound knowledge of management and ability to offer guidance and instruction to harvesting foreman
  • The ability to make independent decisions and solve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to coordinate equipment, employees, and foremen to safely and efficiently complete daily harvest orders
  • Oversee efficiency, speed, and quality of harvest crews
  • Maintain and enforce policies and procedures
  • Maintain and enforce a safe work environment
  • Work 6 days per week
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to travel to Yuma, Arizona during winter operations
  • Ability to perform other related duties as required

  • Organic experience a plus
  • Travel to Yuma required during winter season
  • Valid California Driver’s License
