Coast Produce Company is a family owned business that has been in the produce industry for over 55 years. We procure and distribute fresh fruits and vegetables to retail, foodservice and government customers.
We now have an opening for a full time Merchandiser to join our team at the North Island Naval Air Station in San Diego, CA
Our merchandising team prides itself on innovation and creativity, superior customer service and exceptional sales results.
The person we are seeking will coordinate with produce managers on appropriate store order quantities for weekly orders, in store sampling and special events, as well as provide hands-on training for associates in product display techniques, produce rotation, culling, sanitation and ordering. They will execute our marketing and merchandising plan, including new product introduction, seasonal resets, cross merchandising in other departments.
The ideal candidate will be great communicator with a focus on sales success and true team player with at least 2-5 years of experience in the produce industry, a clean driving record and professional appearance. Must have High School diploma or equivalent, and be willing to work a varied schedule which can include weekends and evenings.
