We are seeking highly motivated, organized individuals (we have 4 openings) with a technical and electrical background for the position of Mechanic to join our team.
This position involves the maintenance of various pieces of packing and sorting equipment including advanced optical sizers and graders, weighing machines for packaging operations and many types of packaging machines. Experience in the agricultural food packing/processing industry is preferred.
The successful candidate:
- Must have High School Diploma, or GED.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- 1 year of Strong mechanical, electrical and computerized background in line equipment.
- Must have good mechanical comprehension and understanding of Fruit packing chemicals.
- Able to work with little or no supervision as well as in concert with others.
- Flexible with working schedule is a must; some weekend work will be expected.
- Must have personal tools.
- Must have knowledge of fruit packing lines.
- Background with welding and fabricating is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must have several years of experience in commercial plumbing, water lines, air lines, and underground pipe installations, electrical, and troubleshooting.
