Since then, farming acreage has increased to more than 20,000 crop acres in California, Arizona and Nevada as the Foxy brand was created to help introduce our produce to families throughout the United States and the world.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Food Safety Technician to join our team based in Salinas, CA.

The Food Safety Tech is primarily responsible for collecting and coordinating the incoming food safety documentation for our Foreign Supplier Verification Program (“FSVP”), outside growing deals, sales deals, and other duties as assigned. This position will spend the majority of the time in the office and remaining time in the field. This employee will work within the Safety and Food Safety Department as a team member to monitor and evaluate the workplace to ensure compliance and safety standards across all operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to identify food safety or health hazards and report identified unsafe conditions, materials, equipment, etc.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems independently and with sound judgment.
  • Computer literate knowledge and proficiency, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) programs.
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with a variety of people and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the Company.
  • Consistently demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and dependability.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communications with internal and external contacts.
  • Self-starter and works under minimum supervision.
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Able to travel to multiple locations throughout California and will be required to relocate to the Yuma Arizona area during the growing/harvest season, December through March or as needed.
