Job Description:
Produce Services of America, Inc. is a full-service operations and quality control company with offices in the U.S.A., Chile, and The Netherlands, offering the most professional and comprehensive range of support and assistance to growers, exporters, and marketers in the industry today.
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector. This is an excellent entry point to the produce industry and traveling within California and US.
Job responsibilities:

Reports to Quality Control Manager

Inspect all types of summer and winter fruit and assure it meets customer quality and condition specifications as required by management
-
Assist the production team to assure quality and condition standards are met at the time of packing

Ensure correct material labels are used with correct product
-
Comply with company policies - ie., food safety, hygiene, PPE and others
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or produce experience in Cold Storages or higher technical education in the field

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to work in a group setting
-
Reliable transportation
-
Some traveling may be involved
-
Well organized and extremely attentive to details
-
Basic computer skills
-
Variable working hours during the week and flexible days during the weekends if needed
Physical Demands:

Required to stand for long periods of time

May involve some repetitive motions
-
Must be able to lift 50 pounds-More than 50 pounds requires a team lift.

May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers

Must be willing to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment (32ºF - 45ºF)
