Job Description: 

RPE is seeking a motivated results driven individual to join our team!

Reporting to the Vice President of Account Management, the Director of Account Management directs and implements strategies for building client relationships, drives revenue growth, and oversees the day-to-day operations of sales and customer fulfillment activities across multi-state RPE LLC division offices and grower-packer partner sheds.

This is a remote role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 5 years of management experience in the produce industry working in a sales or customer service function

Position location is split between a remote office and Rupert, Idaho office.

Essential Functions

  • Manages and oversees a team of Account Managers through performance monitoring, goal setting, and professional development planning.
  • Serves as channel of communication between Account Management, New Business Development, Marketing, Category Management and Senior Management.
  • Drives team to maintain and grow business with existing accounts, leads sales meetings, and analyzes sales trends to recognize opportunity gaps.
  • Develops and executes strategy to grow revenue and attain sales goals for segments of the business such as identifying top customers year-over-year, working with Category Management to identify promotional opportunities, and engaging the sourcing team to capitalize on supply opportunities.
  • Utilizes industry supply/demand data and sales data to create detailed market analysis for specific customers upon request.
  • Works collaboratively with local partner grower-packer sheds, through site visits, contract negotiations, relationship building, performance tracking and long-term supply planning.
  • Conducts in-person sales meetings to retail, wholesale and foodservice companies’ headquarters and regional/divisional offices based on the customer’s specific needs.
  • Works with category management and sales teams to conduct customer category reviews and create business plans specific to the customers
  • Conducts warehouse visits per customer needs
  • Attends trade shows, industry events and internal company meetings regularly.
