Job Description: 
An exciting and fast-growing international AgTech Startup that developed a one-of-a-kind technology. Recently partnered with a leading American company ($10B. Market cap) and is getting ready to open the US offices in California. We are recruiting a General Manager to lead our US Market, recruit and manage field teams, act as a liaison between our cutting-edge product and the end customer, manage growth opportunities, and solidify the company's partnership. The individual will plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress and be responsible for customer success, support growers, revenue generation, and sales growth through the partnership. The ideal location for the individual is around Fresno, California, and will travel extensively.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The GM will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
  • Setting clear and measurable goals (OKRs) for the company's US operations and working with the team to achieve these goals.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the company's US business through and beyond the partnership.
  • Working with the product development team to bring new added value, working closely with the company's research and development team, and collaborating with external partners and suppliers.
  • Developing work routines with customers, including regular meetings, field days, and demo days, acting as the bridge between the end user and the R&D team.
  • Responsible for managing the company's budget and financial performance in the US, including monitoring expenses, tracking revenue, and identifying ways to improve profitability.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and employees, and interacting with diverse partners, from field technicians to VP.

Experience:
  • MBA or MA in a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience working with data.
  • Ag-tech background and passion for the agriculture industry -must.
  • In-depth knowledge of the agriculture industry.
  • Proven experience as a Manager with Organizational and leadership ability.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate governance and general management best practices.
  • Ability to develop strategies and use performance OKRs.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and self-motivated.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • Identify key staff in client companies to cultivate profitable relationships.
  • A passion for customer retention and value creation.
