Job Description:
We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team in our Southern California office.
A successful candidate will have the ability to assist the sales team by performing a variety of clerical and administrate activities that support the day-to-day operations. We are seeking a detail oriented, highly organized team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate has some produce experience and a strong, established work ethic.

Requirements:
- 1-2 years of produce industry experience with a background in a sales environment preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills • Attention to detail and long-term employment are essential to success for this position due to seasonal transitions
- Ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Ability to adjust to demands of the job from simple tasks to high-level and high-pressure situations
- Perceptive to supervisors needs and strong customer service focus
- Strong work and business ethics and sound moral character
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of basic math and the ability to use 10-key calculator
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) Preferred
- Available for Saturday rotation (remote)
- Possess and maintain in good standing Valid Class C driver’s license
Responsibilities & Duties:
Inventory:
- Review inventory daily, keeping electronic records of receiving and shipping documentation by date and cooler location.
- Monitor and audit incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify product mis-rotation and communicate it to Sales Manager and Director of Sales so they can address it with the cooler
- Report daily packout to USDA
Sales Support:
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails in a professional, courteous manner, and assist customers whenever appropriate.
- Assist with entering, tracking, and processing sales orders across multiple platforms (internal Famous software, I-trade/other EDI programs, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Send customer passings and assist with processing of orders for invoicing by ensuring accuracy of shipment quantities, pricing, and charges
- Place orders in transit in applicable customer portals
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding status of shipments
- Coordinate and track logistical operations for delivered sales orders
- Create, track, and assist in finalizing adjustments on claim files
General Support:
- Works with accounting department with related customer Accounts Receivable items by researching pricing and quantity discrepancies on short pays
- Complete other assignments as directed by management, as needed
