Job Description: 

Dandrea Produce is seeking a high level candidate for a management position that will have a dual role over seeing both the Sales and Buying divisions of the company reporting directly to the President. Dandrea Produce LLC. has been a family owned business for 100 years and has been providing superior customer service and products to our customers. We are looking for a motivated Manager to both improve on the procedures we have in place and move us forward into the future so we can continue to provide great quality products and service.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor Degree in marketing, business or related field preferred
  • 15 years of broad experience within produce industry, 5 years of senior level experience
  • Experience in the areas of strategic planning and marketing, business development, market research, pricing strategies, and in planning promotions.
  • Financial analysis skills with the ability to develop budgets, cost standards, and other performance measures.
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptually along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accountability to manage broad range of products in different stages of development
  • Substantial knowledge of the produce industry with strong contacts and relationships with retailers, growers, and other supply chain partners.
  • Excellent networking, relationship building and presentation skills with strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage others, develop and mentor other managers, and make effective decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Comfortable with office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Develop and implement effective sales presentations, programs, materials and tools to use with new and existing customers.
  • Set a consistent example for others in management effectiveness, leadership style, communication and integrity.
  • Monitor external market conditions and gather market intelligence to determine the organization’s growth opportunities. Lead the development of long-term growth strategies and plans
  • Financial Results – Deliver on costing goals and drive financial results for the business.   Build negotiation plans and understand varied negotiation levers to optimize value and outcomes across multiple business categories.  Understand financials of business and creatively influences balancing cost, quality and efficiency to improve sales and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the company President to set and achieve the sales and profitability plan for the organization.
  • Collaborate with all departments to successfully integrate and sustain new business
  • Hold consistently scheduled staff meetings with sales and buying teams
  • Provide guidance to sales staff members on strategy and conflict resolution
  • Create a positive work environment to facilitate team approach
  • Develop overall goals for each Account Manager and analyze sales activities and trends
  • Evaluate accounts for performance and identify tier status for each account
  • Set pricing guidelines, discount and promotional programs
