Job Description:
The Ranch Manager plans and oversees all farming operations within his or her given area. This person will be responsible for guiding and directing supervisors and foreman with a variety of farming tasks year-round.

- Extensive knowledge of farming procedures identical or similar to the duties listed above.
- Must be insurable through company auto insurance.
- Knowledge and experience with irrigation systems and farming equipment.
- Understanding of rules and regulations involving the use of Farm labor contractor services.
- Communication and recordkeeping skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
- Ability to train foreman and employees.
- Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Organizational skills and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage and participate in daily farming operations such as irrigation, weeding, pest control, ground prep work, and compliance. Adjust field work as needed based on daily observations.
- Report any equipment hazards and/or repairs and follow up with service department.
- Direct and develop irrigation and tractor supervisors as well as their foremen.
- Coordinate field tasks with outside vendors and company personnel.
- Enforce compliance procedures with field visitors (Vendors, clients, etc).
- Ensures that all labor laws are followed on ranch with support of Human Resources.
- Reports any safety issues and/or concerns in a timely manner to Human Resources.
- Review and approve time sheets and documentation support for ranch area.
- Involved in discipline process in conjunction with Human Resources.
