Job Description:
Well-established successful and diversified Produce Distributor headquartered in Long Island, New York is currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated produce, Potato – Onion category specialist to increase sales and assist in procurement. We are looking for a candidate primarily in the North East. In addition we are looking for a candidate in the South East based out of the Atlanta region.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop new accounts through calls, visits, and emails. Handle most aspects of the sales process.
- Visit clients with new ideas, products, and focused plan
- Sell specific products- with plan to the right clients
- Follow up with orders, making sure completed to clients’ and our satisfaction
- If there are issues, ensure that complaints and problems are recorded and followed up according to P.A.C.A. regulations
- Maintain daily communication with procurement and warehouses and be knowledgeable about our products and forecast
Ideal Candidate:
- Has a proven track record of high volume sales in the produce industry
- Preferably has dealt with retail, manufacturers and food service buyers directly
- Has excellent follow-up, is persistent, and able to close most of the initiated deals
- Is creative in coming up with solutions and doesn’t give up easily
- Has effective written and verbal communication skills
- Is energetic and positively ambitious to grow within our company
- Most importantly, has the initiative to develop action plans and stay focused on the goal
- Be a team- player, capable to multi-task, aside from being a self-motivated, goal-oriented, proactive, and positive person
