Job Description: 

We are a rapidly growing produce broker/distributor located in Colorado. We are looking for a Sales Professional who is career oriented and ready to hit the ground running.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and experience buying and selling fresh produce. This person will oversee the entire produce buying/selling department and will be responsible for its growth and profitability.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced produce industry sales professional ready to take his/her career to the next level! We will reward successful performance with an equity stake or profit sharing in the company.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum 5 years of produce sales experience.
  • An existing book of business, both customer/vendor base, is required.
  • Experience selling to retail, wholesale and food service customers.
  • Must have established contacts with west coast fruit and vegetable producers.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Identify and target new business development in the retail and wholesale community.
  • Service existing accounts and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Provide daily marketing support to establish and increase new customers.
  • Successfully promote a customer-focused work ethic in tune with the company's core values and principles.
  • Effective account management including: profitable sales; customer service; price and volume management (market, ad/lid, and contracts, open); price and volume forecasting; reporting and performance review/monitoring.
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base.
  • Manage budgets to ensure effectiveness and meet area targets.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent organizational & negotiating skills.
  • Excellent selling skills and an ability to adapt to different customer types.
  • High degree of collaboration within the sales team.
