Currently, we are seeking to add an additional sales person to our growing organization!

- Grow distribution and placement in both new and existing accounts
- Achieve budgeted sales volume objectives, market penetration, contribute to company profitability
- Develop new business leads and opportunities for customers in retail
- Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses
- Handle day-to-day sales calls, sales order process, and logistical planning
- Help to build and strengthen relationships with existing customers
- Provide input as to relevant market information, strategies, visions and goals
- Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base
- Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
- Identify and analyze local market dynamics and pursue new opportunities

- Assist A/R with collecting payments
- Act as an ambassador for our vision and values and carry this through in sales calls, and in person meetings
- Collaborate closely and communicate clearly with internal teams to best serve customer needs and to best support internal team or the company as whole
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum 3-5 years previous sales experience
- Effective phone and in-person presentation as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to make sound decisions and diffuse problems in a confident, calm, and decisive manner
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of organization and efficiency
- Sense of urgency applicable to perishable product
- Consistency in professionalism and good judgment
- Self-motivated and can both work independently and in a team
- Champion for colleagues and willingness to train or help others
- Knowledge of appropriate produce trading practices and the desire to innovate and improve upon current processes
- May require availability outside of normal business hours, such as early morning hours, weekends and evenings
- Preferred qualifications include a diverse network and understanding of the produce industry as well as the ability to speak Spanish
