Job Description:
We’re looking for a motivated and energetic Produce Buyer to join our team in Riverside, California. If you're experienced and ready to step into this position, we would love to hear from you.
- Knowledge of produce commodity sourcing and seasonal transitions.
- Calculate day to day forecasting and commodity usage
- Review/Validate purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors, coworkers and corporate sales team.
- Maintain raw product and packaging specifications are up to date.
- Enter POs in company systems.
- Assist or perform daily inventory on produce, packaging, label and ingredient products.
- Maintain various inventory and costing spreadsheets used in the department.
- Perform inventory daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Perform replenishment orders as necessary and directed by purchasing managers.
- Monitor all purchase orders and file all passings in a timely manner
- Ensure accurate pricing on contracted items as well as market buys.
- Perform other duties as assigned by operations management

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 Years Produce Buying Experience
- Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills both oral and written preferred.
