Job Description:
NatureBest is a fresh fruit and vegetable processor based in Houston, Texas. As we continue to expand and grow in 2018, come be a part of our new facility, new brand, new website, new fleet of trucks, and exciting expansion into additional large markets. The position of Produce Buyer is an immediate position needed to compliment our already passionate and successful produce procurement team. We are looking for positive thinkers and experienced team players who want to progress their careers. This person reports directly to our General Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Minimum three to five years produce experience.
- Relationships with premium grower/shippers.
- Produce commodity knowledge for both fruits and vegetables.
- Knowledge of growing seasons, growing regions, and general understanding of PACA delivery standards.
- Ability to work side-by-side with Quality Assurance team to provide the best delivered raw product for our processing needs.
- Aware of pricing markets and ability to set and manage contracts with grower/shippers.
- Manage daily inventory activities to provide freshest supplies and monitor extensive SKU list of active items.
- Assist Sales Division with new product ideas, as well as packing options.
- Manage daily costing Matrix and communicate to entire Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service Divisions.
