Job Description: 

Vegpro International Inc. is a Canadian leader for the innovation of its agricultural production of baby leaves, salad and vegetable, supplying customers in North America all year long under a well-known label, Fresh Attitude. Our pre-washed and ready-to-eat packaged  salads are available in all major grocery chains in Canada with a strong a rapidly growing presence in the US.

We have purchased approximately 700 acres of land in Coldstream and we will build a produce packing plant of 70,000 square foot state. We intend to begin operations in BC starting in the spring/early summer of 2018.

To respond to strong growth opportunities in the West, the company is seeking for a full time Harvest Supervisor.

Under the supervision of the production coordinator, the supervisor plans, organizes, coordinates and directs harvesting and weeding operations according to established standards in order to minimize unnecessary movement and meet harvesting deadlines. You will have to perform sound management of the material/equipment needed for the harvest. You will have to complete and/or verify the necessary reports for your department.

Requirements: 
  • High School Vocational Studies in horticultural production and environmental technology, farm management and operation or other relevant training. A lack of a degree can be compensated by sufficient experience.
  • Experience of three (3) to five (5) years relevant in a similar position, ideally in market gardening
  • Relevant experience in personnel management
  • Proficiency in oral and written English
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work long hours

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Plan, organize, coordinate and direct harvesting and weeding operations
  • Ensure the management of the infrastructure and equipment park of his department and see the development of harvesting practices according to efficiency and quality objectives
  • Manage employees under his supervision (team leader and farm workers)
  • Respect and ensure compliance with OHS and GAP policies and procedures for food safety
  • Perform any other related tasks
