- High school diploma is an asset
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience ideally in an environment; manufacturing or agribusiness
- Ability to work standing in a refrigerated and humid environment (3°C)
- Master the principles of mathematical calculation
- Proficiency in spoken English, Spanish is an asset
- Ability to lift loads up to 50 Ibs (some workstations)
Under the responsibility of the production supervisor, the Material Handler will have to perform a variety of tasks related to the packing of lettuce, spinach or vegetables for the preparation of salads.
- Seal and identify pallets
- Move the pallets using the pallet truck in the storage section or on the washing lines
- Scan the products upon receipt or shipment and complete the appropriate worksheet
- Ensure compliance and proper product rotation
- Comply with OHS policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices and HACCP
- Perform other related duties
- Sense of organization and priority management
