Requirements: 
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • 0 to 6 months of relevant experience ideally in an environment; manufacturing or agribusiness
  • Ability to work standing in a refrigerated and humid environment (3°C)
  • Master the principles of mathematical calculation
  • Proficiency in spoken English, Spanish is an asset
  • Ability to lift loads up to 50 Ibs (some workstations)
Responsibilities & Duties: 

Under the responsibility of the production supervisor, the Material Handler will have to perform a variety of tasks related to the packing of lettuce, spinach or vegetables for the preparation of salads.

  • Seal and identify pallets
  • Move the pallets using the pallet truck in the storage section or on the washing lines
  • Scan the products upon receipt or shipment and complete the appropriate worksheet
  • Ensure compliance and proper product rotation
  • Comply with OHS policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices and HACCP
  • Perform other related duties
