We have purchased approximately 700 acres of land in Coldstream and we will build a produce packing plant of 70,000 square foot state. We intend to begin operations in BC starting in the spring/early summer of 2018 and we currently have many position to fill, including this opportunity for a Packing Machine Operator.
Under the supervision of the production supervisor, the Packing Machine Operator will have to put production equipment into operation and carry out minor repairs on your production line. You will also have to comply with OHS policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP.
- Secure the workstation and perform visual inspection of the machines
- Set the parameters of packaging equipment
- Observe the operations and communicate any irregular situation to the immediate superior and / or the maintenance team (unusual noises, breakage, quality of the product)
- Carry out the minimum maintenance according to the requested frequency
- Perform the tasks related to the product change

- Work safely and maintain a clean work environment
- Respect the established dress code and the wearing of mandatory protective equipment
- Perform other related duties
- Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in production equipment operation in food processing (an asset)
- Have relevant experience, an asset
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (3 ° C), narrow spaces, above ceilings, ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to lift required equipment (up to a maximum of 50 lbs)
- Be comfortable with technologies
- Proficiency in English (Spanish is an asset)
