Responsibilities & Duties:
- Interfaces with production personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on product status and production planning issues.
- Collaborates with other departments to forecast production needs.
- Collaborates with the Warehouse Manager regarding the timing of incoming and outgoing deliveries ensuring the maximization of warehouse space.
- Assists in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction opportunities.
- Performs research and analysis of data and prepares a variety of reports on a regular and ongoing basis; interprets data and presents to others as needed
- Communicate regularly with growers and Territory Managers in Mexico regarding forecasts, production planning and changes to metrics that affect the production and scheduling process
Skills:
- Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
- Ability to work well across multiple departments to streamline work flow and increase efficiency.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Email and Internet.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle and perform multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to produce accurate documents, reports and generate detailed work instructions.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three years’ directly related experience.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Experience in the produce industry
- Familiar with operations/culture in Mexico would be very helpful
