We have purchased approximately 700 acres of land in Coldstream and we will build a produce packing plant of 70,000 square foot state. We intend to begin operations in BC starting in the spring/early summer of 2018. We have several jobs positions to fill!

To respond to strong growth opportunities in the West, the company is seeking for a full time and experienced Agronomist. Reporting to the Corporate General Manager, the agronomist will play a key role.
The new Agronomist will probably need to be available for training in our current division in United States (Florida) and in Canada (Quebec region).
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial individual and a self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to fast paced, dynamic work environment and within an organization that provides room for a long-term career growth and development.
- Soil sampling and fertilizer recommendations
- Development and execution of pest management strategies
- Monitor soil moisture and schedule irrigations
- Scout fields on a weekly basis and recommend necessary adjustments to management plans
- Seed handling and cutting
- Planter spacing accuracy
- Irrigation system application uniformity
- Chemical application (coverage and timing)
- Plant tissue and soil sampling during the growing season for fertility management
- Test digs to estimate yields and monitor quality
- Monitoring of bruise-free handling during harvest as well as storage management
- Scouts fields for diseased plants and directs roguing crews if necessary
- Plant maturity evaluations, including sugar testing in the field and in storage
- New variety evaluation
- Maximise water-user and fertilizer-use efficiency
