Job Description: 
The Sr. Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing the company’s strategic marketing activities while overseeing the implementation of a fully integrated marketing plan for the company’s brand and products with the goal of increasing brand value, market share, and sales.

The position is located in close proximity to downtown Los Angeles, CA.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of consumer marketing experience, preferably in a CPG organization; fresh food or produce experience a plus.
• Successful candidates will have experience in marketing strategies in both traditional and social media channels; as well as deep experience in consumer communication, advertising, product marketing and trade show planning/execution.
• Ability to work directly with owners and upper management, providing solid business recommendations and presenting polished work.
• Strong cross-functional project management skills.
• Ability to “think outside of the box” to solve problems and able to offer unique solutions to problems.
• High EQ.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills/attention to detail required.
• Exceptional sense of urgency, with strong aptitude for learning and problem-solving.
• Advanced Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Steward the brand, supporting the brand promise, brand vision, brand position and brand architecture.
  • Engage, inspire and galvanize the organization around the brand vision, position and strategies to so that the brand’s DNA permeates the company’s corporate identity and can be brought to life in a consistent manner across functional areas. 
  • Develop a holistic marketing strategy for new and existing products that captures consumers’ attention and drives awareness and trial along the path to purchase vis a vis key influencers, social media, community events, couponing, point of sale, signage, campaigns, social media, PR, etc.
  • Generate demand and build brand equity through marketing initiatives that cross B2B and B2C platforms.
  • Manage and coordinate all company tradeshows.
  • Engage customers through the conception and implementation of trade and retail marketing programs while managing associated promotional calendars.
  • Analyze and review the brand, competition, category, customer and consumer trends to enhance the brand’s performance.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets and monitor associated costs.
  • Manage and negotiate with external service providers, vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide disruptive creative direction while also ensuring creative aligns with the brand’s identity, target audiences and opportunities.
  • Manage direct report(s), including hiring, training, workload, schedule and deadlines while ensuring that the marketing strategy and associated tactics are effectively implemented. 
  • Build strong relationships with the sales team and help enable them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with the appropriate tools, materials and presentations necessary for customer meetings and tradeshows.
  • Travel will be required.
