JOB FILLED - Director of Sales

Job Description: 
The position of Director of Sales manages account relationship; account profitability, account growth and account sales coordination activity by effectively communicating, and working with all required parties/departments.

Responsibilities & Duties: 

Build, Maintain and Manage Customer Relationship as Directed by VP Sales
  • RFG primary point of contact
  • Establish vertical long-term RFG account relationship
  • Schedule regular purpose outcome meetings
Account Management
  • Account info set up and maintenance; accounting, customer service, logistics, food-safety
  • Manage to meet growth targets
  • Mange to meet profitability targets
  • Maximize product line penetration and extension
  • Manage to meet account and RFG SKU rationalization
  • Manage to meet logistics drop size targets
  • Resolve account customer service issues by working directly with RFG customer service and account
  • Assist RFG accounting to resolve account accounting related issues
  • Responsible to make direct account contact and notification in the event account is impacted by a product recall
  • Mange broker relationship and performance
  • Manage RFG resource utilization to customer value
  • Manage total customer spend to customer value
  • Conduct regular SWOT analysis to maximize account management
Marketing
  • Prepare and manage customer sales and growth strategy
  • Obtain customer sales data when available
  • Manage customer schematics
  • Develop and manage account product and sales sheets
  • Manage specialized packaging and labeling to customer value
  • Prepare and manage promotional calendar to customer value
  • Develop and manage customer product, customer reviews and customer meeting presentations
  • Make customer aware of RFG innovation items and new product lines
  • Manage and coordinate field activity execution RFG/Broker
  • As necessary attend account roll-outs and resets

Sales Coordination

  • Act as customer/sales team Advocate when communicating customer activity with appropriate parties/departments
  • Track, communicate, coordinate all account sales activity to appropriate parties/departments (launches, price requests, sample requests, new item requests, account set-up/changes, logistics/order-production-delivery cycles with appropriate parties/departments to ensure account activity is fully communicated and completed
  • Coordinate and confirm plant approved sample items and deliveries with Operations and Product Development teams
  • Notify all appropriate parties-departments of upcoming new customer and new item launches/discos
  • Forecast and communicate to appropriate parties-departments new item(s) and account roll-out launch volume
  • Communicate new item requests to VP Innovation and provide sales with timely status updates
  • Coordinate customer meetings with appropriate parties-departments samples, presentations, price quotes, and special customer requests to ensure meeting requirements are fulfilled
  • Coordinate and communicate with required parties/departments to attain and establish individual account activity timelines to meet customer expectations
  • Assist Customer Service to resolve any account activity issues or discrepancies
  • Manage timely communication to sales team keeping them posted on individual account activity and on-going activity status
  • Coordinate production of customer schematics
  • Coordinate production of account product and sales sheets
  • Manage and communicate promotional calendar with required parties/departments
  • Remain updated on RFG innovation items and new product lines
  • Coordinate as necessary account field merchandising activity
Education: 
  • High school diploma required.
  • Four-year degree in Business or related field required. Emphasis in Sales and/or Marketing preferred.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods Sales preferred.
