Job Description:
We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team in South Texas. Compile and record employee time and payroll data, compute employees' work time, and production. In addition you will be responsible for computing/posting wages and deductions.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years related experience and/or training.
- Self-motivated team player
- Able to Multi task and work in fast paced environment with accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Able to work overtime and weekends as required by the job
- Work onsite and meet position’s attendance schedule, as required by the job
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
- Collect timecards and review the information for completeness and accuracy.
- Poll electronic time clocks (Lathem PC600) and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
- Contact various department supervisors for any missed times or discrepancies.
- Process weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll system.
- Issue weekly and semi-monthly payroll checks.
- Compile internal management reports from payroll system software.
- Other duties as assigned.
