Job Description:
We are currently searching for a Shipping Manager to oversee inbound and outbound activities within the shipping department. This position will handle all customer service compliance regarding damage and error. You will plan and direct the daily and weekly activities of shipping to meet or exceed our safety goals.
In addition, the Shipping Manager will also be responsible for directing the actions of all subordinates assigned to the department and advise employees on proper procedures and are directly responsible for subordinate’s performance and adherence to company’s policies.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee the compliance of material receiving and shipping practices according to company standards and ensure all processes are complete and accurate.
- Oversee the quality control practices according to company standards.
- Ensure that all receiving, and shipping functions are processed accurately, while auditing the validation and recordkeeping procedures.
- Training of personnel that are entering data and managing their abilities and accuracy.
- Maintain an orderly receiving and shipping area.
- Communicate effectively with all other management and teams.
- Help solve problems and make informed decisions that affect the shipping area.
- Produce material receiving documents, record inventory counts, and note discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with domestic/international shipping
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal communication skills required
- Strong computer skills are required, and IT knowledge would be a plus
