Job Description:
Located in Southern Arizona, a well established importer and distributor of a wide variety of produce is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Ensures proper training of staff by training new hires and re-training on an as needed basis
- Works side by side with Human Resources on hiring initiatives and practices
- Upholds employee handbook policies
- Responsible for overseeing receiving, warehouse staff, warehouse safety
- To ensure that all orders are setup properly and loaded onto the correct truck
- Oversees setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiates, coordinates and enforces optimal operational policies and procedures
- Ensures inventories are accurate
- Plans and assigns tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Oversees inventory discrepancies and any shortages
- Assumes responsibility for good working practices, safety, and security
- Support and implement food safety, workplace safety and quality assurance initiatives
- Support and implement the company’s initiatives to promote positive employee morale and team building
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in warehouse shipping and handling, preferred
- Minimum of two (3) years of experience in managing 5 or more employees, preferred
- Inventory Management experience is a plus
- Must be able to safely operate all warehouse equipment
- Must be able to operate a forklift and center rider pallet jack
- Knowledge of the fresh produce or perishables industry preferred
- Good written, verbal and oral presentation skills
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, and follow through on projects
- Ability to perform well under pressure and short deadlines
- Critical Thinking, ability to use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management internally and externally
- Adaptability/Flexibility, with the ability to react quickly to changing requirements from internal and external conditions while maintaining good communication with all parties involved
- Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, kneel, and reach regularly
- Ability to work flexible hours and days, weekends, and holidays
- Lead by example should be able to perform the jobs and fill in when necessary
- Responsible for warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations
