Job Description:
River Fresh Farms, is seeking an organized, energetic and highly motivated individual to manage the Quality Control and Food Safety Program in Salinas, CA and Yuma AZ operations. The position is responsible for the overall implementation and daily management of the QC Program, as well as maintaining an accurate inventory count, and researching any discrepancies.

Able to lift 65 pounds over head (this is the weight of a pull box of cucumbers).

Able to stand & walk for long periods of time.

Valid driver’s license and ability to rent a car from a national car rental agency.

Able to travel each day to various locations and willing to travel out of state for weeks at a time.

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
- Bi-Lingual (English & Spinach preferred).
Working Conditions:
- Extensive travel and time on the road. Employee will be provided lodging and meal expenses.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to indoor warehouse, outside field, and minimal office conditions. Cooler Temperatures 34-38◦ degrees F

Responsibilities & Duties:

Conduct daily field inspections related to product quality, food safety and product specification requirements.

Inspect all inbound shipments and outbound orders ensuring compliance with internal, USDA, industry and our customer requirements.

Notify sales, warehouse, and inventory control of quality issues and recommend solutions.

Works with USDA Inspector.

Distribute a daily quality report for all RFF items and quality forecast.

Conducts regular product/facility inspection for all RFF partner coolers and refrigerated warehouse space to ensure quality and proper rotation of products.

Conducts random shipping audits for outbound product quality and condition.

Enforce good manufacturing practices that include, but are not limited to the following: sanitation, pest control, security and temperature management.

Conduct USDA match inspections and third-party audits.

Maintain an accurate, quality controlled age inventory report.
