Job Description:
Visalia Produce Sales is a grower/shipper of California and Mexican table grapes, as well as other fruit, vegetable, and citrus products. Currently, we are seeking a Table Grape Inspector with at least 5 years of experience.
As Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests on product to ensure that all inbound and outbound product meet standards of quality and safety.

Requirements:
- BA/BS desired in food science, nutrition, or related agricultural fields.
- Minimum of 5-years Produce experience.
- Ability to multi-task while prioritizing inspections to fit company needs.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively at various levels throughout the organization.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Carry out assigned tasks and meet specific deadlines.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, detail oriented, analytical and organized.
- Bilingual- (English/Spanish is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Track daily inventory. Collect and maintain data to prepare reports as needed.
- Facilitate new and existing grower relationships to meet supply chain requirements.
- Conduct inbound and outbound inspections on fresh produce products ensuring compliance with internal, USDA, industry and customer standards and requirements
- Monitor and control the quality of output from packing and repack activities
- Conduct routine inspections of product in the inventory and assure that the product quality and food safety is appropriately managed and controlled.
- Advise sales, warehouse associates, repack and inventory control staff on issues of product quality and recommend solutions.
- Assist with re-packing as needed.
