Job Description:
Tom Lange Company has been building a Global Produce Network to provide a full-line of the finest fruits and vegetables available. Currently we are looking for an Account Manager to join our team in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Position may require 25% travel.
- Extensive Cold-Calling required to build new relationships with customers, vendors and carriers
- Manage existing relationships with customers and carriers
- Assume ownership for each load from dispatch to delivery
- Coordinate, track and schedule transportation shipments w/ follow through
- Maintain constant communication with customers, updating them on their load status, changes and delivery appointments
- Negotiate rates with customers and carriers
- Investigate product overages, shortages and damages and file claims in a timely manner
- Computer entry for tracking and invoicing

Qualifications:
- Must have 1 year of transportation sales experience with proven sales track record
- Current book of business a plus
- Driven, Enthusiastic and Highly motivated with a can do attitude
- Ability to work in a team environment while delivering independent results
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals, both written and verbally
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Understanding of 3PL software programs and the DAT a plus
- Familiarity with the produce industry a plus

SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, & BENEFITS OVERVIEW
- Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm –Must be available after hours and weekends by cell phone and email
- 6 month salary converted to commission w/ Draw + Bonuses based on results
