Job Description:
Here at Leonard’s, we are currently seeking an extremely-motivated, personable, and organized individual to join our team as a Produce Broker. You will be responsible for creating new sales growth for our company through national sales and meeting profit goals. You will have product knowledge on the products that you sell. This is a commission base position. Candidates should have a strong, established customer and supplier base, list, outstanding customer relationship management skills, and the ability to manage products and make wise, profitable decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- A produce sales background that has the passion and determination to work hard to grow sales.
- 3 or more years of experience in sales and/or brokering with a proven record of achievement.
- Highly motivated with a desire to be successful.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic.
- Established industry contacts.
- Ability to quickly process information and make decisions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Quick learner, a logical thinker and team oriented.
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective negotiation, problem solving and follow-through skills.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Computer literate: Word, Excel, Dropbox, Etc.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Developing relationships with new customers.
- Maintain current customer base.
- Book orders with customers and work transportation needs
- Achieve budgeted sales volume objectives, market penetration, and average sales price by product, and ultimately contribute to company profitability.
- Provide input as to relevant market information, strategies, visions and goals.
- Grow distribution and placement in both new and existing accounts.
