National Grape Category Manager

Job Description: 

Forever Fresh LLC is a grower-owned, vertically integrated, fresh fruit sales and marketing company that focuses on Chilean and Peruvian fruit including cherries, grapes, stone fruit, apples, kiwi, citrus and more.  Forever Fresh has had steady growth since we started in 2009 with 1.4 million boxes imported this season. Our owners Verfrut and San Francisco lo Garces have been the driving force behind this growth with over 20 million boxes of fresh fruit combined.

We are looking for a self-starting individual located preferably on the west coast to manage Forever Fresh’s grape volume.  The Grape Category Manager’s primary focus will be to increase the company’s sales and distribution for the grape category nationally, while managing on hand and forecasted inventory at multiple storage locations.  The candidate will be responsible for expanding our existing customer base as well as securing and managing new regional and national retail, food service and wholesale accounts.  This position would cover all aspects of grape deal management and sales.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • National grape sales and inventory management
  • Setting and communicating grape pricing and inventory positions to the sales team
  • Sales planning and marketing forecasts
  • Working closely with our internal QC and Operations teams located multiple storage locations in North America
  • Secondary focus will be on our other imported commodities which include cherries, stone fruit, kiwi, apples and citrus
  • Trouble File entry follow through and closure
  • Monitoring E-commerce platforms
  • Occasional Travel for customer visits and trade shows
Skills: 

Experience

  • 10+ years of successful and proven experience in sales
  • Established customer base for Imported Grapes for both East and West Coasts accounts
  • Knowledge of the Mexican and Californian grape deals

Skills & Technical Knowledge

  • Capability of working in a professional, confident manner
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong working knowledge in Famous an E-commerce systems
