Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is the sale of AgroLinks Products and Services, environmental controls, RO systems, Lights, Drawing Packages, Nutrient systems packages and design.

Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years sales experience directly related to the sale of horticulture/environmental equipment or similar greenhouse equipment sales
- CA Driver’s License, Class C
- Proven success in managing sales territories/regions
- Superior negotiation and time-management capabilities
- Must be able to understand customer equipment needs
- The ability to identify problems and have diverse problem-solving skills that rectify problems in a quick fashion
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Organization / attention to detail; ability to be proactive and take initiative; ability to work independently without extensive oversight
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and social media
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to climb stairs be stationary for long periods of time, and stoop, bend, and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be available to work irregular and/or changing shifts including holidays and weekends. Needs to be available electronically at all times
- BS/BA, Business or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be acceptable
Responsibilities & Duties:
Sales
- Maintain customer data base and sales records
- Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
- Service existing accounts obtain orders, and establish new accounts
- Daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential customers
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
Customer Relations
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; initiating the solution; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
- Provide Sales Assistant a list to send out yearly holiday cards
- Provide Sales Assistant with any important dates for customers to send flowers, cards, etc.
Marketing
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Develop a schedule for trade shows, and client meetings or presentations
- Design and construct displays for trade shows and presentations
- Determine and initiate marketing campaigns, mailings, etc.
- Manage social media (twitter, Facebook, blogs, e-newsletters, Instagram, etc.)
- Attend and Host Trade Shows
- Organize, order and setup booths as requested
Miscellaneous
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Keep the Director informed of any problems or concerns with employees, customers or vendors
- Manages expenses and uses good judgement with company resources Departmental Budget Assistance
- Maintains expense reports and submits them regularly for approval by management
- Candidate should expect to travel regularly
