Job Description:
The role of the Senior Account Manager in the Domestic Sales department is to develop long-term relationships with customers through sales and day to day customer management.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
- Responsible for sales, retention and growth of assigned customers.
- Manage customer price quotes and volume allocations, including daily market quotes.
- Work closely with Director of Sales to ensure the overall sales strategy is active daily including identifying those accounts which will contribute to maximizing long term profit objectives.
- Work closely with other account managers and strategic account managers.
- Responsible for ensuring assigned customer orders are entered, confirmed and shipped as ordered.
- Handles customer claims on fruit shipments and supports settlement negotiations.
- Supports in the resolution of credit and collection issues with assigned customers.
- Analyzes both customer specific and market sales data to optimize sales strategies.
- Required to travel domestically to customer sites, sales meetings and food shows.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by completing related tasks and projects as needed.
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field preferred.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account Executive
- Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- At least 8 years of selling experience in a sales environment or work experience related to fresh fruit sales and marketing.
- Ability to learn and understand produce market conditions.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Creative and positive thinker.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion.
- Strong computer skills: must be proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook; ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Must be detail oriented; work in a fast-paced environment with high ability to multitask.
