Job Description:
The Sales Account Manager thrives on building long-lasting, loyal client relationships, while endorsing and cross-selling new products to our existing and potential customers. This individual must have knowledge of produce and the sales channels. Possessing a measurable familiarity with asparagus and herbs is a definitive plus. The person in this role will be responsible for retaining existing business with the goal of expanding those customer relationships while prospecting and gaining new accounts.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts
- Prospect and gain new accounts
- Manage and solve conflicts with clients
- Interact and coordinate with the sales team and other staff members
- Participate in establish budgets
- Meet time deadlines for assigned accounts
- Completes proactive customer “good will” calls
- Meet and/or exceed assigned quarterly and annual sales and retention goals
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop business cases, presentations and proposals
- Demonstrate positive Company positioning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years previous in Produce Sales/Account Manager roles
- Experience in a buy/sell environment a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and extremely organized
- Excellent computer skills and social media savvy; knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Famous, etc.;
- Sense of urgency applicable to perishable product; expertise in follow-up
- Highly organized, efficient, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills (both verbal and written, interpersonal and proper phone etiquette)
- Shows consistent professionalism and good judgment
- Proven sales and/or account management success
- Revenue responsibility and experience
- Diverse Produce Industry knowledge and capability to apply appropriate produce trading practices
- Enterprising team player with ability to motivate and leaderships skills
- Generate sales for a portfolio of accounts and reach the Company's sales target
