JOB FILLED - Manager, Supply Chain Relations

Job Description: 
United Fresh is seeking a proactive professional to drive business development, member engagement and networking opportunities for companies that provide tools and services throughout our field-to-table supply chain. The Manager works with service providers to take advantage of business opportunities in the FreshTEC Expo and Global Cold Chain Expo, as well as engagement with United Fresh members throughout the year. This position reports to the Vice President, Convention & Industry Collaboration.

Requirements: 
  • Three to five years’ professional experience, with demonstrated customer relations and business development ability.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with key clients and a passion for customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal communications, presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to achieving individual and team goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Comfort with databases, with experience working with AMS and/or CMS platforms preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Knowledge of the perishable supply chain/transportation industry helpful.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Drive revenue through business development and company engagement, including FreshTEC Expo and Global Cold Chain Expo exhibits, membership and program participation.
  • Serve as the primary staff liaison to the United Fresh Supply Chain Logistics Council, working with members and senior staff to identify new opportunities for industry programs and initiatives.
  • Study and learn perishable supply chains to identify potential clients and products that would benefit from exhibiting in the FreshTEC and Global Cold Chain expos.
  • Expand account base to new members and exhibitors through active prospecting, including research activities, reviewing competing products, and interaction with industry experts.
  • Build and sustain a service-oriented culture of account management, client support, and external relations.
  • Coordinate with education and convention teams to develop content and events to attract strong industry participation.
