JOB FILLED - Manager, Industry Relations

Job Description: 
United Fresh is seeking several proactive and high energy professionals to grow our association and expand our presence in the produce industry. Our Industry Relations Managers drive member recruitment, retention and engagement as account managers within discrete industry sectors. These positions report to the Vice President, Member Services.

Requirements: 
  • A passion for member and customer service.
  • Three to five years of professional experience, with demonstrated customer relations and business development ability.
  • Strong interpersonal communications, presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to achieving individual and team goals.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with staff colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Comfort with databases, with experience working with AMS and/or CMS platforms preferred.
  • Experience with membership based organizations or trade shows a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Drive revenue through business development and company engagement, including member acquisition and retention, exhibit sales and program participation.
  • Identify company prospects for membership, convention sales, and participation in education programs across the association.
  • Participate in industry events to represent the association and educate companies on association programs, events and services.
  • Plan and execute regional outreach meetings to promote the association and grow our network of contacts.
  • Manage volunteer leadership committees for specific industry sectors and supply chain interests.
  • Serve as a resource for association members and constituents on association programs and resources, as well as key industry issues.
  • Coordinate with education and convention teams to develop content and events to attract strong industry participation.
