This position is perfect for someone who wants to learn from the "ground, up" the ins and outs of growing and harvest management. Every part of a successful operation will be covered as you move into full responsibility for our field operations.
Progressive Grower / Packer / Shipper of conventional and organic vegetables is looking for a Grower Harvest Manager Trainee. This position will be trained to:
- Create planting schedules in conjunction with the sales team and management.
- Monitor ground preparation pre-planting.
- Work with greenhouse to schedule production for crops that require transplants.
- Monitor direct seed planting, transplants and, wet dates to insure planting dates are met to insure correct harvest dates.
- Monitor crop during the growing cycle in conjunction with our grower partners.
- Update sales team and management with accurate harvest estimates weekly.
- Update sales team and management of any crop issues as quickly as they may occur.

Qualifications:
- College Degree in crop science or 2 to 3 years’ experience
- Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft business programs
- Clean Driving Record
