Job Summary

The Sales and Operations Planning Manager will lead and develop all forecast and budgeting volume projections with sales, sourcing, and finance SME’s. He/She will be responsible for facilitating the planning process, driving improvements to the process and aligning the final plan with management.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in related field
  • Experience using forecasting and planning systems
  • Project management experience that includes leading cross-functional teams and supply chain continuous improvement initiatives
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication ability including concise writing skills and strong verbal communication skills
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Forecasting Software (WAM) project management and implementation
  • Company WAM super-user
  • Generate statistical baseline forecasts for demand and supply from aggregate level through disaggregated level from the daily through 5 year plan time horizons
  • Continuously (daily) review and update of forecasts for maximum accuracy
  • Work with sales and sourcing SME’s (Director of Sales Planning and VP of Sourcing) to achieve consensus forecasts
  • Provide weekly targets and plan to the Sourcing and Sales teams to align with budget, inventory position, and business needs
  • Generate forecasted spoilage and shortage alerts/reports and work with Director of Sales Planning on action plans
  • Analyze forecasting KPI’s and initiate process improvement projects to improve them
  • Work with operations and engineering SME’s (VP of Latin America Operations, Sr. Distribution Manager, Sr. Director of Engineering and R&D, VP of Engineering & Process Improvement) on defining capacities to be used in the WAM software
  • Provide supply chain with system driven first draft of daily pack and replenishment schedule
  • Facilitate and manage the monthly SS&OP process.  Communicate expectations of each meeting to the Supply, Demand, and Operations attendees.
  • Lead and develop the annual budgeting volume projections with sales, sourcing, and finance SME’s.
  • Lead the development of statistical pricing forecasts and business implementation to complement the volume forecasts
Education: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or in a related field
