JOE FILLED - Produce Sales Representative

Job Description: 
The Produce Sales Representative will work in our Domestic Sales department in the process of selling fresh fruits within the US and Canadian markets meeting quality, price and delivery goals. This position requires excellent communication and negotiation skills. Potential for advancement based upon the employee’s performance.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a sales department, preferably in the produce/food industry
  • Strong work ethic and ownership mentality
  • Highly autonomous and proactive, self- starter
  • Highly motivated, well organized, and detail oriented
  • Preference to work in a high paced, multicultural environment
  • Flexible, with the ability to multi-task in a demanding, stressful environment
  • Ability to cooperate successfully as a member of a team
  • Able to establish long term business relations with customers
  • Strong intellectual and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Famous at an intermediate level
  • California driver’s license (no DUI or drug convictions)
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Work with the sales department in selling fresh fruits within the US and Canadian markets with particular focus on grapes
  • Manage and grow key customers of the company
  • Develop new customers for the company
  • Investigate new opportunities for the company
  • Will be immersed into the International Business Arena
  • Travel within the US and to foreign countries in order to gain a better knowledge of suppliers, customers and of the market itself
Education: 
Minimum B.S., Preferred Agriculture or Business
