Job Description:
Earl’s Organic Produce, Inc., a leading distributor of organic produce throughout Northern California, seeks a skilled and safe Product Selector for our San Francisco Wholesale Produce Market headquarters.
Under the director of Outbound Operations Manager, the Product Selector position fill customers’ orders from stored merchandise in accordance with specifications on Pick List. Duties include completing order receipts, keeping records of out-going orders, requisitioning additional materials, supplies, and cleaning work area and equipment.

Requirements:
- Minimum high school degree preferred
- Minimum one year of related work experience and preferably knowledge of produce varieties or experience in a warehouse or logistics enrivonment
- Experience with shipping, receiving and storage, warehouse safety and meeting customer expectations
- Ability to operate equipment such as, but limited to, forklift, stand-up pallet jack and electric pallet jack
- Previous work in a perishable products industry
- Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Read Pick Lists to ascertain quantities of merchandise
- Obtain merchandise from bins, shelves, and coolers
- Build (palletize) orders with caution so as to not damage product
- Examine products to verify quality standards
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are completed
- Pallet wrap, mark and tag identification for the palletized merchandise
- Operate machinery used in the order picking process, or assist machine operators
- Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify management as necessary
- Ensure work is performed safely at all times
- Wear proper safety equipment at all times
