Job Description: 

All Fresh Produce is a West Coast Importer of Chilean blueberries, cherries, grapes and stone fruit. The core of our business is done directly with national supermarket chains. Our goal is to broaden our customer base that will include more independent grocers and wholesalers in Southern California as well.
 
All Fresh ships grapes year-around. We are currently marketing California grapes, continuing thru December when our Chilean grape imports begin. Our initial blueberry imports begin in September with fruit air-flown into the west coast from Argentina.
 
Currently, we are seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual who can build relationships through expert negotiations. Working closely with our team of owners and farm managers, you will continually monitor and understand the berry and stone fruit markets.

Currently, our marketing time-line is as follows:

  • January thru December: Chilean, Peruvian, and California Table Grapes
  • September thru February: Blueberries
  • October thru January: Cherries
  • December thru mid-March: Peaches, Nectarines, and Plums
Compensation/Salary:

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Source, purchase and supply co-ordination of multiple products
  • Sales and marketing of multiple products
  • Continually understand the changes in the Produce Industry to make the best sales and price decisions
  • Negotiate and write orders
  • Logistics and scheduling for all products (inbound & outbound)
  • Excellence in customer service
  • Liaison, network and regular contact with growers and retail clients
  • Maintain existing grower/retail client-base and prospect potential accounts
  • Increase volume of sales, growth and management of accounts
  • Understanding of PACA laws
  • Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time
Education: 

Background and experience in the produce industry are required. However, educational degrees in agriculture or business will be considerations in the selection process. 

Skills: 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in agriculturally based sales or marketing
  • Practical background with knowledge of current agriculture/retail industry issues
  • Ability to perform in a perishable product and/or seasonal environment
  • Working independently while contributing to a small-integrated team
  • Ability to problem-solve, organized, and multi-task
  • Committed to working within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Personable and professional manner
  • Proficiency in computer skills
