Compensation/Salary:

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Build and manage a portfolio of fresh produce retail, wholesale and foodservice customers domestically and internationally
  • Warm call marketing to a vast network of produce companies (some leads / pipeline provided)
  • Proactively market via phone supplemented with email correspondence
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with prospects, clients and vendors
  • Willingness to work with and meet quarterly metrics
  • Support the development, implementation and help drive the global marketing plan
  • Work with Windows 7 OS, utilizing QuickBooks & Office 2010 amongst others
  • Favorably manage vendor and client relationships
  • Closely monitor the market and advise leadership on market conditions
  • Minimal travel to attend industry trade conferences, customer food shows, etc.
Ideal Candidate: 
  • 2+ years of produce industry sales experience
  • An existing book of business and pipeline of retailers, wholesale and foodservice customers
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent inside sales experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in team oriented business process
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals/quotas
  • Windows 7 computer competency with experience using MS Office 2010
  • Tenacity to learn and adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and accept guidance & direction as needed
  • Exceptional phone and general customer service skills
  • Uncompromising attention to detail
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to adjust to changing situations in a flexible manner
